Well, by this time next week, I will be approaching the end of freshers week at the UEA and will likely have begun study. Earlier this week, I attended the UEA's Mature Student Induction Day and I have to say I really rated the day and that it has given a lot of reassurance in my decision to go to University for the next three years.
During this day, I also met a couple of fellow Computing Sciences students and believe that at least a few new friendships are forming, particularly with one guy called Andy. Myself and Andy both found a common ground in motivation for coming to university and the fact we are both seriously considering Teaching ICT as a career. On a personality front, we have a very similar dry sense of humour which worked well.
So, my University experience so far is one that is very positive and the induction day really just fanned the flames of excitement... sure, a lot of hard work lies ahead, but I know I will succeed at doing it, and am confident with the support of both friends and family.
